Bonus — autosuggestion
Hypnagogic autosuggestion
Repeat your phrase aloud as you fall asleep. Bonus if you nod off mid-sentence.
I wake up inside of dreams.
Dream recall intention
"I remember my dreams tonight. I have excellent dream recall." Say it until it feels true.
★ King skill — advanced
Wake in the night
Set an alarm 4–5 hours after sleep. Lie still. Think intensely about dreaming — why it matters, what you want to find there. Stay awake 20–60 minutes then return. This is the fastest road to lucidity that exists.

How to do a reality check

A reality check means genuinely asking yourself — with real curiosity, not habit — could I be dreaming right now? Become intensely interested in resolving that question. Then once resolved, briefly consider: if this were a dream, what would I do?

The hands test: Look at your hands. Turn them front to back. In a dream they distort, blur, or have extra fingers. The dreaming mind cannot replicate hands accurately. This is your most reliable check.

Other checks: Look at a digital clock twice — numbers shift in dreams. Flip a light switch — rarely works in dreams. Read a word, look away, read again — text shifts in dreams.

The math: You spend one third of your life asleep. Ten percent of each day is spent dreaming. Do 10 checks a day and the odds are that one will occur while you're actually dreaming.
